Brucato, owners of Principle Construction Corp., are pleased to announce that the firm recently completed construction of a 24,622 square foot renovation and addition for Subco Foods Inc. located at 1150 Commerce Drive in West Chicago, Illinois.
Principle Construction Corp. remodeled 3,650 square feet of the company’s corporate office space and completed a 972 square foot storage mezzanine within the company’s existing warehouse. Principle also completed a 20,000 square foot food processing addition. The expansion and renovation incorporates numerous LEED design concepts to reduce energy consumption over the buildings lifetime. Precast walls and the roof system were designed with improved R values. Natural lighting systems were integrated with photometric lighting controls. The production area incorporated a process sanitary waste system with sloped epoxy coated floors and stainless steel floor drains. Process air, gas, exhaust and water systems were installed to support the manufacturing operation.
