December 14, 2016

I just thought I’d share some news to brighten everyone’s day.  Starting yesterday, the sun is officially setting later in the day. 4:20 to be exact, as opposed to 4:19 on Monday, December 12th.

For a few more days, the day will still be getting a little shorter though.  That is, until December 21st , when we will officially be at the shortest day of the year (also the first day of Winter).  So, it won’t be long before we start enjoying more daylight every day.  If you’re confused as to why the days aren’t getting longer now, it’s because the sun is rising later every day. As a matter of fact, the sun will continue to rise later every day until 12/30/2016.

Like I said, I told you this would “brighten” your day.  As you might infer from my euphoric, scientific analysis, of the so-lunar tables, December 21st is my favorite day of the year for a couple of reasons;  1) the days start getting longer and 2)  Winter is officially getting shorter.  Just thought you all might like to know.
